About us Senior Co-Pastors: Bill & Kathryn have a passion and vision to see God work in the lives of people in Maleny and surrounds. They have come a long way since May 2005 in pioneering New Life Church and are overjoyed to see people embracing the vision and joining them on the journey. Bill & Kathryn have over 70 years combined experience in secular work and parallel to this over 70 years in church work, including church leadership. As Co-Pastors they bring a very balanced ministry to the lives of people. Their aim is to build a church community where people can identify and belong. They are intent on creating a warm, friendly church community where individuals, families, and people of all ages are accepted and loved. Currently Bill & Kathryn fulfill the role as Chaplains to assist and support the local Maleny RSL Sub-Branch with their ceremonial occasions. They are members of the Range Christian Leaders Network. New Life Church is a contemporary 21st Century ECP church. (ie: Evangelical, Charismatic, Pentecostal). Their Vision is to build a committed team and see the whole community of 7000 people reached with the message of this "New Life" found in Jesus Christ.
OUR BEGINNINGSBill & Kathryn Johnston are the founding Senior Co-Pastors of New Life Church. Since moving to Maleny in 1993 Bill & Kathryn have had a vision to see God work in the lives of people in this rural area of Maleny and surrounds. In 2005 Bill & Kathryn commenced the church in the Senior Citizens Room, Maleny Community Centre. Starting with just the two of them they prayed that others would join them. The first “Celebration meeting” was held on Sunday 22 May 2005 and was attended by 12 people. New Life Church, Maleny, is part of the movement now known as New Life International. The group commenced in New Zealand in 1942. There are over 2500 churches internationally. When you join us you join a global church family that is rich in its multi-cultural heritage of faith and nations. CHURCH ACCOUNTABILITYNew Life Churches are a movement of autonomous churches, each governed by its own local leadership and yet accountable within the New Life International governance structure. As pastors Bill & Kathryn are credentialed by New Life International; the head office is based in Christchurch, New Zealand. New Life Church, Maleny, is registered with the Australian government and licensed to conduct marriages. OUR PURPOSETo fulfil the Great Commission by growing and building Christ’s church through growing and building a “new life” in people OUR MISSION STATEMENTTo build bridges between: God and people; people with people; people with the local, national and the global Christian community (Acts 1:8) New Life Church, Maleny aims to enable, equip, influence and empower people to: - Fulfil the great commission through presenting Jesus Christ to all people so that all may experience this “new life” with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour (Mt 10:7-8; 28:18; Mark 16:15-18; Ac 10:42; Col 1:25)
- Be a witness through faith in Jesus Christ of His transforming salvation, grace and power (Ac 1:8, 2:32; 5:32; 22:15; 26:16-18; 1Th 2:10)
- Realise their full potential through the development of natural gifts with the purpose of serving God and one another (Mt 25:15-25; Ro: 11:29; 12:7-8; Ga 5:13; Ep 6:7)
- Desire spiritual gifts and to assist one another in the cultivation of these gifts (Ro 12:6; 1 Co 12:1-11; 14:1-5, 12)

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in: - The divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures
- That there is one God who lives in three persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit
- The incarnation and that Jesus Christ came to redeem the world
- Full water immersion baptism and the baptism in the Holy Spirit
